The world of Vaedros

Every quest ends on a choice. It changes who trusts you, what you carry, and which scenes you'll see later.
Early choices come back
Take a blade for a friend in chapter 10 and the scar still aches at the last camp. Throw away the map in chapter 5 and the castle has one less way in.
Companions remember
Keep a secret from Rowan and he calls it out on the summit. Trust Liora, or don't, and the finale plays out differently.
Failing a quest continues the story
Your hero pays for your scroll.
But the story never stops. Pick up your phone mid-quest and your hero doesn't die, and you don't start over. The road just gets harder.

emberglow premium unlocks the story after act one, cooperative quests with friends, and skill tree resets. It costs $3.99 a month, $29.99 a year, or $79.99 once for life, in US dollars, and your store shows the price for your region. Starting the free app and starting a premium trial are separate choices, and the free app never expires. Where a subscription plan offers a one-week free trial, the store shows it before you confirm, and the plan renews at its full price after the week unless you cancel in your store settings first.
No. emberglow never blocks anything. You lock your phone on purpose, and the story rewards you for keeping it locked. If you also want a hard block, pair it with a blocker such as ScreenZen or Opal's free plan. On its own, emberglow is a reason, not a wall.
The quest fails, and the story takes note. Some quests are offered again straight away. Others move on without you finishing them, and what you could not finish follows you into later chapters. Nothing you have already earned is taken away, and there is no penalty outside the story. A custom or holdout quest simply ends, and you can start another.
emberglow is on iOS and Android, and both versions have the same story, quests and free tier. The app, the story and its narration are in English only.
An email address and a character name. Crash reports go to Sentry with session data such as device model and OS version, not linked to your account. Quest notifications go through OneSignal, which receives your user id, your device id and an approximate location so alerts arrive on time. Your data is not sold or shared for advertising, and you can change or delete your account inside the app. The full policy is on the terms page.
Yes. The app launched as UnQuest and was renamed emberglow in late 2025. It is the same app, the same team, and the same story. The store links still show "unquest" in their addresses because store IDs do not change after launch, and that is expected. If you installed UnQuest, you already have emberglow. Get it on the App Store or on Google Play.
